CineMediterra Film Festival
MEDITERRANEAN CINEMA AS A STATE OF MIND
CineMediterra is a London-based film festival that celebrates Mediterranean cinema as more than a genre — as a cultural philosophy shaped by emotion, contradiction, humour, and human connection.
Our challenge was to move beyond familiar Mediterranean clichés and build a brand world that reflects the region’s true depth: layered histories, expressive storytelling, warmth without excess, and a quiet confidence rooted in culture rather than spectacle.
Our challenge was to move beyond familiar Mediterranean clichés and build a brand world that reflects the region’s true depth: layered histories, expressive storytelling, warmth without excess, and a quiet confidence rooted in culture rather than spectacle.
We developed a comprehensive brand identity system that positions CineMediterra as a curated, film-first festival held four times a year, each edition spotlighting a different Mediterranean country. The identity strikes a balance between cinematic seriousness and a gentle sense of play — refined, accessible, and never too loud.
From the verbal positioning to the visual language, the system was designed to feel present rather than performative. A bold yet flexible logo, a colour palette inspired by Mediterranean heat and rhythm, and modular graphic systems allow the festival to adapt across countries, editions, and formats while remaining unmistakably itself.
CineMediterra begins with film, but its brand architecture is intentionally future-facing — opening space for music, food, and shared cultural experiences to become part of the festival over time.
The result is a cultural brand that doesn’t shout for attention, but invites you in.
Warm, intelligent, and quietly unforgettable — much like the Mediterranean itself.
