Stone Mounds
Stone Mounds is an audio guide app offering a deep and authentic exploration of Turkey’s ancient Neolithic sites. Narrated by the very archaeologists who unearthed these remarkable finds, the app provides a uniquely detailed and meaningful journey through Göbeklitepe, Karahantepe, and other significant archaeological treasures in the region. Ideal for tourists, scholars, and history enthusiasts, Stone Mounds bridges the past and present through expert storytelling and cutting-edge technology.
This app serves as a digital companion, guiding users not just through physical spaces, but through the rich tapestry of human history, one mound at a time. 
The brand is built around the intersection of past and present. It respects the ancient wisdom of the Neolithic builders while making this knowledge accessible and engaging for the contemporary traveler. 
We crafted the brand strategy, and developed the visual identity. We created a world that emphasizes the app’s unique value: authentic narratives told directly by archaeologists. From concept to execution, we ensured Stone Mounds delivers a seamless, immersive experience that brings history to life.

Approach
At the core of Stone Mounds is the idea of reconnection—reconnecting users with the roots of civilization, with the ancient stories buried in the earth, and with the sense of wonder that these mysterious mounds evoke. 
The concept emphasizes that these ancient sites are not just remnants of the past but are active participants in our ongoing story as humans—places where the past still speaks, where the earth whispers its secrets to those who are willing to listen.
Inspired by the foundational idea that all of history has been built stone by stone, we set out to craft a branding identity that reflects the timeless and universal appeal of the Neolithic wonders. Just as the marvels of civilization are instantly recognizable for their enduring simplicity, we aimed to create a representation for Stone Mounds that would resonate with the same clarity and power.
Focusing on the shared iconography of the ancient “T”-shaped pillars found across the Stone Mounds sites, we reimagined this symbol for the modern era. The result is a refined, intelligent, and youthful emblem that bridges the ancient and the contemporary, serving as the cornerstone of the brand’s identity.

This minimalist yet meaningful approach ensures that the branding not only honors the legacy of the Neolithic builders but also meets the expectations of a global, tech-savvy audience. By capturing the essence of these historic sites in a single, cohesive design language, we created a visual identity that is instantly recognizable, timelessly relevant, and powerfully connected to the narrative of Stone Mounds.
